疫後重生

Post-Pandemic Resurgence

    疫情過後，生活漸漸回歸日常。隨著國境重新開放，HCOOP再度踏出國門進行健康服務，重新和世界連結。

    在尼泊爾金剛寺，我們服務了430位僧眾與學生，進行牙科篩檢及口腔衛教，同時我們也舉辦了急救及骨科保健的訓練課程。同行學生志工還準備了臺灣文化及健康促進等不同的主題，與寺院師生進行經驗分享及交流。組織也持續贊助金剛寺診所的全年營運費用及協助牙科治療室與實驗室的規劃與建置。另外，此次我們特別前往位於加德滿都巿郊的聖約瑟學校捐贈教學設備，包括再生電腦，顯微鏡及投影機；在印尼善德學校，我們則對國中生及幼稚園小朋友進行牙科篩檢，及舉行教師急救訓練課程，而組織也持續贊助幼稚園的營養補充計劃；在斯里蘭卡中北部，我們設置了第6座濾水站，這6座濾水站提供了1000個家庭、3個寺廟僧侶及上千名學校師生乾淨的飲用水。至於學童豆漿營養計畫，組織則繼續提供豆漿給Kalaoya村莊中5所幼稚園的180位孩童，讓更多小朋友能健康快樂地長大；在國內，我們維持舉辦學生國際志工研習營的傳統，讓志工服務的概念能在年輕世代的心中萌芽茁壯。

    雖然告別疫情，但烽火連天及經濟通膨為這個世界帶來了動盪不安。HCOOP將持續穩健地進行各項健康服務計畫，以行動來實踐公益理念，用愛與熱情來填補無助與缺憾，一起讓世界更豐盛美好，浴火重生。




  In the aftermath of the pandemic, life has progressively resumed its pre-pandemic normalcy. The reopening of national borders presents HCOOP with the opportunity to extend its services abroad and re-engage with the global community.

  At the Nyingma Palyul Urgen Dorjee Chholing Monastery in Nepal, we rendered dental services to 430 monks and students, comprising both dental examinations and educational sessions. Additionally, we held training courses on emergency care and orthopedic health. Student volunteers gave presentations on various aspects of Taiwanese culture and health promotion to foster cultural exchange with the teachers and students at the temple. Our organization also continued to sponsor the annual operating expenses of the Nyingma Palyul Urgen Dorjee Chholing Monastery Clinic, collaborating in the planning and establishment of the clinic's dental treatment center and laboratory. Furthermore, we donated teaching equipment to St. Joseph's School in Kathmandu Suburbs, including upcycled computers, microscopes, and projectors. In Sekolah Putra Bangsa Berbudi School, Indonesia, we conducted dental examinations for junior high school students and kindergarten children, provided emergency care training courses for teachers, and continued to sponsor the kindergarten's nutrition supplement program. In Sri Lanka's central-northern region, we installed the sixth water filter station. These six stations provide clean drinking water to 1,000 families, three temples in which many monks live, and thousands of schoolteachers and students. In the soymilk nutrition program for schools, our organization continues to provide soymilk to 180 children in five kindergartens in Kalaoya village, so that more children can grow up healthily and happily. In Taiwan, we persist in the tradition of student international volunteer training camps, so that the concept of volunteer service can germinate and grow in the hearts of the younger generation.

  Despite the waning effects of the pandemic, ongoing armed conflicts and economic instability are disrupting global stability. However, HCOOP will steadfastly undertake a range of health service initiatives to embody its noble mission of serving the public good. Driven by compassion and dedication, we are committed to alleviating the plight of the most vulnerable and marginalized individuals. Let us work together to create a better future for the world, making it more abundant and beautiful.
